If you choose the photo shoot option, your session will last between 45 minutes to one hour.
If you choose the photo shoot and video interview option, this combined session will take approximately two hours. The video interview will be 30-45 minutes, with the photo shoot following shortly after.
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before your scheduled session.
We do invite you to come as you are, whether you’ve had your hair groomed or not. We would like for you to have your hair in its most honest form. If you decide to have your hair done before the shoot, please make an appointment at least two weeks prior to your session.
YES! All loc styles are welcome.
All loc lengths are welcome to participate.
Our mission is to keep the portraits as honest as possible. Please be considerate of the following to have a great portrait session:
- Wear solid colored clothing
- Choose muted tones that are a bit subdued
- Choose similar tones for your top and bottom (both dark or both light)
- Choose a top with sleeves at least to the elbow
- Choose long pants or a dress/skirt below the knee for ladies
- Choose dark socks and footwear (unless it’s a barefoot photo)
- Keep jewelry simple and minimalistic
Please bring two outfits for your session. It is not guaranteed you will wear both, but options are always welcome.
A makeup artist will not be on-site. Feel free to book a session with a makeup artist in you area.
There is no fee associated with being part of this project.
Participants will receive a complimentary photo shoot and signed 8x12 archival print which will be shipped to their home.
We are looking for participants of all age range. Those under 18 will need to have parental permission and a signed model release during shoot. Please contact us for a copy of our model release.
We want to create an intimate and personal feel during your photoshoot. Only ONE guest is allowed to be on site during your photo shoot. We will adhere to this rule.
You will have the opportunity to view the images during the shoot, but Lynsey will make final selections for the project.
Images will be used for a future exhibition and book project, as well as on Lynsey’s website. Each participant is asked to complete a model release form in order for Lynsey to use your images for advertising and other creative mediums. Click the model release form link in menu.

Images from the project will be released throughout the duration of the project. Our tentative date to complete the entire project is by Fall 2016.
Since this is an extensive project, our hope is to have your edited photo available for preview within one month, with prints being shipped within a month. Please check for updates throughout the duration of this project.
